Our Story
About Zalaire Aussies
A Texas kennel built on a lifelong love of the Australian Shepherd — where every dog is family first.
Where It All Began
Zalaire Aussies was born from a deep, lifelong passion for the Australian Shepherd — a breed unlike any other. Intelligent, loyal, breathtakingly athletic, and endlessly devoted, the Aussie captured our hearts long before we ever considered breeding.
Based in the heart of Texas, we've spent over a decade refining our program with one unwavering goal: to produce Australian Shepherds that are as healthy and structurally sound as they are beautiful and biddable. Every pairing is deliberate. Every litter is raised underfoot, in our home, surrounded by love.
Whether you're searching for a devoted family companion or a competitive performance partner, we believe the right Zalaire Aussie will exceed every expectation.
Our Commitment
Health First
All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive OFA health testing — hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac, and MDR1 — before ever being included in our program. We don't cut corners.
Temperament Matters
We select for dogs that are confident, trainable, and genuinely joyful. A Zalaire Aussie should be a pleasure to live with — whether on the agility course or the living room couch.
Raised with Love
Our puppies are whelped and raised in our home. They're handled daily from birth, exposed to sounds, textures, and experiences that set them up for a lifetime of confidence.
Lifetime Support
When you bring home a Zalaire puppy, you gain a partner for life. We're here for every question, every milestone, and every challenge — long after your puppy goes home.
Proudly Texas-Based
Our kennel is nestled in Texas, where our dogs enjoy wide open spaces, fresh air, and the kind of room to run that an Aussie truly thrives in. We welcome visits by appointment for approved families.
